ALIM Database

The ALIM project (Archive of the Italian Latinity of the Middle Ages) aims to collect, validate and offer free consultation on the Internet, all the literary and documentary texts in Latin composed in Italy during the Middle Ages (VI -XV century) completing the available linguistic information in Latinitatis Italicae Medii Aevi lexicon (saec V, ex – saec XI in.). Because of the lexicographical purpose of the whole project, the archive includes two macro-sections: the first houses literary sources, the second documentary ones, both public and private. The ALIM program, which also includes research in philology, literary history, diplomacy and humanities informatics, makes use of the funding provided for the 2012 National Interest Research Plans until February 2017.
